Planning a Spring trip?

I am in the process of helping several friends with late winter/Spring trips. Its fun meeting, talking about their likes, activities, places to stay, stops, airline tickets etc…

I try to identify what is important to them. Are they spending a lot of time in their room so a view is high up there, or is it just a place to sleep, do they like mountains, beach, a combo of both, do they need a car, or will UBER work? Do they need to pre book excursions or decide that week? Your destination will determine a lot of the pre planning.

The family I am working with tonight are doing two islands, Oahu/Maui. They want to see Pearl Harbor, attend a luau, they want at a minimum ocean view, a full service resort with at least a kitchenette. They want a variety of activities, whale watching, Road to Hana, snorkeling, and some down days near the pool bar.

We are using REDWEEK to find a condo. This is my first choice for them…

I love the location of this resort. Its on the boardwalk in Kaanapali. Its an easy walk to the Whaler. The west side of Maui is gorgeous, the beach gorgeous and the sunsets are pristine.

I will make them reservations at the Old Lahaina Luau.https://oldlahainaluau.com/ Its a little on the pricey side but its worth it. The dancers are amazing, the food so tasty. It will be memorable for sure…..

They will be flying Alaska airlines from Pullman to Oahu then a quick hop a few days later from Oahu/Maui on Southwest airlines, pick up their rental car, explore for a week and then fly home Maui to Pullman.

more to come……
