I live 30 miles from the nearest Alaska airport but its worth every penny of that 40 min drive. We like to travel 3-4 times a year to Hawaii. We are able to do so using the famous Alaska airlines companion ticket. I will show a screenshot of fares to give you an idea of the savings…..

A companion ticket is an excellent perk of this Bank of America credit card. I think its at least a $500 value. Once you receive your card and spent $2000.00 the companion ticket is added to your online account. Then each year on your anniversary you will get another companion ticker.

this will take you the Alaska airlines/Bank of America website. In addition to the companion ticket, You receive free checked bags, 3 miles for every $1 spent on Alaska airlines, 20 back on inflight purchases, and 40,000 miles just for signing up. (That’s a free ticket in the continental US)

Once you want to travel using the companion ticket you need to log onto the web site (not the app) to to your profile and click on discounts/certificates that will show you the companion ticket. One other thing to remember. Set an alert on your calendar to use the companion ticket by the expiration date. If you know you aren’t going to use it. Reach out to friends and family. We know a lot of people travelling who would like to use yours.
